Media Resources

Kowa 106.5 fm Low Powered radio in Olympia contact kowa@riseup.net for info about becoming a DJ or stop by the studio at Media Island. Meetings are on Monday Nights at 6pm at Media Island

Computers

We have 2 computers available for community use. We have internet and computer printing available.

Audio

We have a basic audio editing bench. People can make beats, public service announcements and other audio here.

Print Media

Media Island currently has a 24 hour infoporch. There is sometimes a verity of print material available. We also print material for the porch. People are welcome to drop off info any time of day.

Internet

Media Island International News Site. We currently feature stories about struggles around the world.

South Puget Sound Indymedia . Media Island helped start indymedia. Now news from Tacoma is also posted. The computers are available for multi-media uploading.

Community Kitchen

Food Not Bombs Olympia FNB cooks at Media Island every Saturday at 2:30 pm.

Gardening

Media Island has garden tools and lots of opportunities to use them.
