Human rights violations continue in Honduras

U.S. imperialism is alive and well, this much we know. Here in Honduras,
rifle-bearing soldiers and cops, or perhaps police dressed in military
garb, or perhaps private security guards borrowing police uniforms – it's
never easy to tell – are vigilant at grocery stores, Dunkin Donuts, and
banks, as well as rural communities. Where do these armed forces get their
funding? You guessed it, your wallet.
Of all security funds pouring into Central America from Washington, 52% go
to Honduras' highly corrupt and repressive post-coup military outfit.
Since the military coup d'etat on June 28, 2009, which was condoned and
forgotten by the U.S. government, over 400 Hondurans have been targeted

Oaxaca. February 15, 2011
Felipe Calderon came to visit Oaxaca and brought with him more than 150 uniformed federal police. There were snipers stationed on the rooftops of hotels. There were also several army trucks full of either police or military dressed in civilian clothes. Allegedly, after the clashes finished, these individuals set some cars on fire near the second class bus station in an attempt to lure protesters there to be arrested (and of course also to blame the protesters for the act).
Homeland Security Video Messages Debut at Wal-Mart

In the airport, Americans are now faced with the choice of allowing the Transportation Security Administration to molest them and their families or view their naked bodies if they want to travel. On the internet, the private sector is happily carrying out state censorship with PayPal, Mastercard, Amazon, and other companies doing everything in their power to shut down the whistle blowers’ website Wikileaks. Now, in the latest of a string of policies purportedly helping to keep the American people safe, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has announced a new partnership with the retail giant Wal-Mart as part of its “If You See Something, Say Something” campaign.

I can't stand it that we can't do anything about these creeps operating cloaked in a US flag. Very few in this country dare even fess-up to the truth of how incredibly bad this agency has been from the beginning in 1947. This is the first I've heard of Obama's CIA connection. Doesn't it figure...
