Fund Health & Schools – Tax the Rich!
Washington State needs to pass Initiative 1098. We have one of the biggest concentrations of millionaires in the U.S, but also the most regressive tax structure in the nation. While the bill Gates Juniors and Howard Schultzes pay only 3% of their income in taxes, the poor pay as much as 17% and are hit even harder by cuts to public services during budget crises!
It’s time to demand that the wealthy pay their fair share!
I-1098 is a step in the right direction. It will tax individuals who make over $200,000 and couples who make over $400,000 annually to fund health care and education.
Come join this educational discussion on the benefits of I-1098. Speakers include unionist, community activists, and feminists. Bring your thoughts, concerns and questions!
