- [ ] Wants to use the Media Island van first Sat every month to
commute to Tacoma Detention Center to do vigils.
- [ ] Media Island has offered to do this in the past, but we are
no longer insured.
- [ ] The van needs to be fixed, but it might not be worth fixing it.
- [ ] Possible buy in with local organizations to buy a new van or
fix this van.
- [ ] Bruce is willing to pay for insurance if they will pay to fix
the van.
- [ ] Maybe if Bridges Not Walls can help fix the van. Let's make a
deal.
- [ ] Would Media Island be able to split the cost of the monthly
insurance with them? $25 monthly, each.
- [ ] The van needs a new diagnosis and it may cost over $1,000.
- [ ] Charlotte is going to talk to them about helping us fix the
van and insurance.

- [ ] Bruce talked to Chukes about moving out by Feb. 1st. He said
yes.

- [ ] February 16th, 8 - 11 PM Benefit for Houndorus Accompaniment
Project.
- [ ] May have to sweet talk the neighbors. Noise complaints could
equal abatement.
- [ ] Friday, May 6th Dessert Secret Cafe with guest speakers to
benefit Media Island. $25 at the door. Saturday would be a
conference at Evergreen. Sunday would be a day of action -
maybe a rally, maybe the NW Detention center, protest of some
kind, etc.
- [ ] NW Solidarity Conference through LASO. Support the LASO
budget at TESC.

- [ ] Matt Duran has been working on the website. He needs
information from the website admin to continue.
- [ ] Difference between Droopel (coded in PHP, riddled with
security exploits, and PHP is more dadabasing) and instead he
wants to use Dynamic HTML and Cross HTML. Also Dynamic HTML
and Cross HTML is more secure.
- [ ] Writing a proposal to give to Nat. Perhaps a conference call.

Skills Study Group, a project of The Icarus Project, the
Olympia Free Skool, and the Olympia Transformative Justice
Collective. Media Room or Carport. We want to meet regularly
at that time.
- [ ] Charlotte will be in Seattle every other weekend and
Wednesday nights.
- [ ] Charlotte has classes - Mondays until 230; Tuesday until 4;
Wednesdays until 1.

immediately need in storage.

- [ ] We're not legally a membership organizations don't have
elections.
- [ ] 510c3 cannot have members unless we write a new charter/510c3.
- [ ] New board members are chosen through consensus of current
board.
- [ ] Board members are: Rick Fellows, Tom Nogler, Jim Mattenson,
Craig Lawrence (out of town, needs to be replaced).
- [ ] Advisory Board = list of endorsers, people willing to sign as
endorsers.
- [ ] Board renewal process in 2002.
- [ ] Having womyn and people of color become board members.
- [ ] Having people with professional connections.
- [ ] Have board meetings quarterly and having an annual retreat.
- [ ] We should talk more about the structure of Media Island.
- [ ] We discussed what the mission statement means.
- [ ] We should also get back to being a local media center.

- [ ] January 8th, Beer Drinking Party Benefit for Media Island.
1325 Tenth St. We're calling it a Media Island sponsored
party.
- [ ] January 9th, Citizen's United 4 PM planning meeting to have a
protest on the 21st.
- [ ] January 17th Coalition for a Fair Budget Conference.
Childcare Collective will provide childcare. We should do
media work. Promo work for this event. Critical issues at a
critical time. Let's help do promotion on this. Biannual
budget cuts.
- [ ] January 21st, Citizen's United Anniversary. A Protest that
weekend.
- [ ] January 25th, National Day of Protest - Stop the FBI.
