The Nobel Peace Prize Hosted by Will Smith Presented by the King of Norway.

I was happily surprised that the Nobel Peace Prize went to Al Gore in 2007. Climate change and George Bush were both giving me nightmares at the time. Gore's big award gave a big middle finger to Bush and climate change deniers which made me rest a touch better. I began to think to myself things are beginning to change... change.... change......

Obama for President! A black Hawaian man leading the empire! Fuck it! I'll vote for that! The democrats got me again after I left them for Nader in 2004. I have had some lingering sympathy towards those spineless weenies because I'm convinced that Al Gore wouldn't have gotten us up to our eyeballs in the middle east with war and that perhaps 9-11 wouldn't have happened if Bush hadn't cheated. Maybe a democratic landslide and the presidency could mean some legitamite progressive changes?

Now Bush is gone and the climate change deniers are hiding under rocks but my nightmares haven't been relieved by this super majority Congress and super President. Instead they've gotten seriously worse! Obama and the democrats could do whatever they wanted with this kind of majority so apparently what they want is the same imperialist foriegn policy and a neoliberal economic agenda at home! Meanwhile the media has ceased all pretenses of journalistic integrity filling in the last puzzle piece of the big brother nightmare.

Then the announcement came, Obama is the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize. Holy shit! Ha... Ha Ha.... HAHAHAHAHAAA!!! How absolutely bat shit crazy and hilarious at the same time! I'm rolling on the floor with Rush Limbaugh and Hugo Chavez, all three of us together in painful gasps of tearful laughter! No... wait... guess what else? Will Smith is hosting the event!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Calm down Rush take some oxy-cotin! Chavez, guess what musical artists are playing? No not Juanes, Toby Keith and Wyclef Jean! Yes! Toby "Beer for My Horses" Keith with Wyclef "Guantanamera" Jean! Then the King of Norway is going to come out and preside over the whole "Obama got talent" ceremony!

All three of us laughed and laughed and cried and cried. Then we looked into each others eyes and for that one moment we all knew, we just knew, that all this crazy bullshit won't last forever... and we all felt peace...
